Gunship new song “Taste Like Venom” drips with anime cyberpunk vibes

Gunship

The incredibly talented British synthwave band Gunship has dropped the latest song “Taste Like Venom”, from their highly-anticipated third album.

The new track, like most Gunship releases, comes with a bold and retro music video, although this one is purely animated and sports a CG anime style dripping with nostalgia and cyberpunk vibes.

Taste Like Venom features Gunship’s signature bopping beats coupled with lead singer Alex Westaway’s haunting voice and the heavy synths from musicians Dan Haigh and Alex Gingell.

With how much Taste Like Venom dips into the cyberpunk genre, its hard not to make comparisons with CD Projekt’s Cyberpunk 2077, there’s even a bit of love making in the music video for good measure.

Here’s the new song and music video:

Gunship’s forthcoming third album, Unicorn, launches on September 29th and features 14 tracks that whisk you away to a land of dreams and neon. You can purchase Unicorn via their official site and other platforms.
