The schedule as revealed by Bandai-Namco America is as follows:

  • July 17: 9PM PDT / 12AM EDT – Pre-download begins for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoles
  • July 18: 5PM–10PM PDT / 8PM–1AM EDT – open network test available
  • July 18: 10PM PDT / 1AM EDT – 4 hour Maintenance; open network test unavailable

  • July 19: 7PM–11PM July 20 PDT / 10PM–2AM July 21st – open network test available

The gunpla mechas can be also customized from up to 20 base units. Participating units had the Blazing Gundam (from the now-defunct Gundam Breaker Mobile game), Tieren Taozi (from Gundam 00), Super Fumina from Gundam Build Fighters Try, Captain Gundam from SD Gundam Force, and Knight Gundam from the SD Gundam Gaiden series.

The story itself is comprised of the campaign or story mission and free missions. In addition there is a survival mode where waves of Mobile Suits will attack the player.

The Parts Fusion from previous series would be retained, where parts are obtained to boost the performance of the unit. When the part’s performance reached into 5 stars, it will also unlocked the Mastery Skill.

The game also has the Ability Cartridges where buffs or debuffs to the player’s gunpla are added, and had three randomly generated buffs or debuffs; the player can load to up to 5 Ability Cartridges per gunpla, totaling 15 effects.

Gundam Breaker 4 is set to launch on August 29th across Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Digital preorders are now available.
