SNK Corporation have announced Baiken from Guilty Gear will be available as a DLC character for Samurai Shodown.
A recurring character in the Guilty Gear series, Baiken is a wandering samurai who lost her family and friends at the hands of Gears; magically and scientifically engineered beings. The nation of Japan had already been destroyed at the start of the “Crusades.”
She seeks revenge against That Man, the creators of the Gears and the one blamed for their uprising. Her obsession has stripped Baiken of anything that does not help her achieve her goal. She is alone, viscous, and charges into Samurai Shodown.

Curiously, her Fatal Flash appears to be one of the few that do not draw blood. The same had occurred in a gameplay trailer for Cham Cham. It could be this is merely a way to get around age restrictions on YouTube, as SNK’s version of the trailer is age-restricted despite also having no blood.
At the end Baiken allegedly states something along the lines of “I better clean up this mess here, I need to get back to my own world.” This may imply that Baiken is also coming to Guilty Gear -Strive-.
Baiken is available August 19th via Season Pass 3; which also includes Cham Cham [1, 2], Hibiki Takane, and Shiro Tokisada Amakusa [1, 2].
The game has seen cross over characters before; with Hibiki Takane is from The Last Blade 2, Gongsun Li from Honor of Kings, and the Warden from For Honor.
Samurai Shodown is available for Windows PC (via Epic Games Store, and Steam) Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.
