Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign is Coming on December 16th in North America

Aksys Games have finally confirmed the release date for Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign.

The hotly anticipated brawler will be available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in North America on December 16th. It’s worth noting this is a release coming less than two weeks from the game’s December 4th launch, in Japan.

One of the most notable changes with Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign is that 3D models are used for the characters instead of the series’ traditional 2D sprites, but they’re made to look just like sprites. It’s a wonder to see it in motion, while the game runs on Unreal Engine 3.

Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign is getting a limited edition, and it comes with the following stuff:

  • “The Backyard” – The outer box for the Limited Edition features a replica of “The Backyard” complete with gears and high-quality binding. Dare to open the book to uncover all the goodies!
  • Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign Soundtrack – The Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign soundtrack is filled with the hard rocking tunes that the series is known for, arranged by Guilty Gear series creator, Daisuke Ishiwatari, himself!
  • Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign Character Book – What limited edition is without its art book? The Character Book features a profile for each character from Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign, as well as those from Guilty Gear: XX Accent Core Plus and Guilty Gear 2: Overture, and a glossary of terms; a complete character history for those who have some catching up to do!
  • Sol Badguy “Free” Keychain – Inscribed with the word “FREE,” this metal key chain is a scaled replica of the original belt buckle worn by Sol! Add it to your keys to show off something truly unique!

The limited edition costs $79.99 on PlayStation 4, while the PlayStation 3 version costs $69.99 dollars.

Wonder if they’ll take an age to bring it to EU. Completely lost interest in Persona 4 Arena because it took almost a damn YEAR for them to bring it over here.

I don’t mind waiting for a EU release even upto a year as long we know it’s coming that’s the main thing for me. If I don’t know by December I’ll import.

Blazblue was released already this year and Guilty Gear games usually make it over.

Yes it came out on the PS3 back in April about a month after the US release.

Also NISA have partnered up with Aksys Games since then to release some games in EU so that’s another possible route.

Ah! I see that’s a little stupid. Luckily I’m from the UK. It came to the biggest markets in Europe then. (UK, France, Germany etc). ;)
