Grim Dawn Getting New Voice Overs And Animated Intro Movie

Crate’s crowd funded action RPG Grim Dawn may be due to officially launch this month, but it hasn’t stopped the developer from adding content to what is already a mostly complete game. News has just been posted on their Facebook page that mentions Grim Dawn is getting an animated intro that will be added to the product upon release, as well as full voice overs for the currently silent NPCs.

According to Crate, these final additions were made possible from the high amount of early access sales they received:

I’m very pleased to say that Grim Dawn will be receiving an animated story intro trailer and VO. This was made possible by successful Early Access sales over the past year. The trailer will set up the start of the game, showing the capture of the aetherial possessed human who, freed from the spirit, becomes the player character. It will be comprised of still images brought to life with video editing, FX and some animation. Voice over will cover main quest lines for primary NPCs and some intro lines for others.

Grim Dawn was released to early access in the summer of 2013 and has had quite a bit of success while on Steam’s early access. Fans can see for themselves if it’s worth the wait for the final version when our review is posted later this month.
