Gravity Crash is Heading to PS Vita in July

At the very beginning of the indie-game revolution, a nice-gem of a title was released on the PlayStation Network. One of the first games, this title was praised for marking an interesting revolution. It was a game that had a modern look and feel but also a throwback to the neon-lit and brightly colored classics of games before.

It featured a merger of games like Asteroids, Lunar Lander, and Cosmic Chasm. But with a modern gameplay mechanic and a very fascinating soundtrack by famous gaming producer CoLD SToRAGE. This gem of a game was Gravity Crash (Not to be confused with Gravity Rush).

Gravity Crash stars you as a special maintenance bot in deep-space. A massive alien force has devastated all the good guys and it’s up to you to single-handedly destroy the enemy locked deep within the planets and asteroids of several solar systems.  The levels are deep and involving, featuring the constant obstacle of heavy gravity, geothermal currents, predatory aliens, and enemy forces.

Players face all sorts of tricky enemies and must be careful in navigating the very tight spaces of the caves. Your ship has the ability to go underwater, pick up survivors, and uses accurate firepower. Though, you must be vigilant for secret areas and fuel crystals to power you ship. Oh, and there’s boss fights.

One of the unique areas of Gravity Crash is the ability to construct your very own levels and upload them to the PlayStation Network. You can play, beat, score, and rate specific levels while creating your own. This feature has been around since the original game’s launch five years ago, meaning hundreds of levels for player to play and many more to be built.

Using the high performance of the handheld, the game has received a thorough update from the visual effects to the game play mechanics The game’s particle effects and colors have been greatly enhanced while maintaining a smooth 60-frames-per-second. As for gameplay and difficulty, a third ship has been added as opposed to the original two, balancing out the difficulty. Finally, the radar and map to navigate the dangerous caverns has been reworked.
