Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising online beta delayed

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising

Publisher Cygames and developer Arc System Works have delayed Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising’s planned online beta.

The fighting game’s planned online beta will forgo its May timeline for one sometime later – though it may be awhile as the game is “currently experiencing stability issues during online play.”

A new beta schedule will be announced “as soon as things have settled,” according to creative director Tetsuya Fukuhara.

Here’s the full message from the companies:

We are sorry to announce that the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising online beta has been delayed from its previously scheduled May release.

The game is currently experiencing stability issues during online play. While we realize that some bumpiness is to be expected during beta testing, we would still like to put our best foot forward and ensure we
deliver as enjoyable an experience as possible.

We will announce a new date as soon as things have settled. To everyone who has been looking forward to the GBVSR experience, you have our sincerest apologies.

In order to test our recent implementation of rollback netcode, we will be launching a closed pre-access beta, followed shortly by an open beta. For those who would like to participate in the pre-access beta,
registration will open when we announce the updated schedule.

Thank you for your patience.
