Granblue Fantasy: Relink has been taking so long fans were beginning to wonder if it ever existed – but now it’s finally getting a big media blowout.
A hands-on gameplay booth for Granblue Fantasy: Relink will be at Granblue Fantasy Fes this weekend, and Japanese press already have previews up, complete with new screenshots:
What’s more, Japanese Twitter user Haluhaara managed to sneak a preview in a now-deleted post:
The footage above is of the PlayStation 5 version of the game, which will be playable at the event.
Fans have gotten to accompany the game’s development up-close for a while now, watching the little changes in UI, camera angles and how the game got more colorful as time went on.
A new trailer for the game will be revealed during the Granblue Fantasy Fes livestream, but for now, this is the most updated look we have of the game.
The game has undergone a few delays and in early 2019 it was announced that PlatinumGames would not be involved in the project anymore.
Despite those issues, the game never been fully canceled and Cygames continues to push the project forward.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink is set to release sometime in 2023 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows (via Steam).
