Cygames has announced a Steam release for Granblue Fantasy, bringing a more accessible and native English version of the game to overseas players.
The new Steam and English release for Granblue Fantasy is coming west earlier next year, on March 10th, 2026. The Steam and English version comes roughly a decade since the game launched English support for its browser and smartphone versions, and over a decade since its 2014 release.
The wildly popular free-to-play RPG has created an entire franchise that spans spinoff games and even manga and anime adaptations. Spinoff games include the 2D fighting game Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising and the single-player RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink.
The new Steam release for Granblue Fantasy has been reworked to better support desktop PC’s running Steam, though the new Steam release will only be available to players outside of Japan and other select regions.
Furthermore, Cygames is limiting account data on the new Steam release for Granblue Fantasy, meaning if you were playing the browser or smartphone versions you won’t be able to transfer all your data over.
