While there has always been a mild push to get Linux into the windows dominated realm of serious gaming, that push is starting to turn into a full shove. Not to be undone by Valve’s early efforts to get the penguin into gamer’s hearts and hard drives, it seems Good Old Games is now planning to go the Linux route.

Though they’ve only been working on this project for a few months now, they promise to have at least 100 Linux games ready to go when the initial offerings are rolled out. While they will be limited to the Mint and Ubuntu distros, they intend to pad out the available game library by including both previously released games on GOG that have Linux executables as well as new games that are specifically tailored for the operating system.

In an effort to help whittle down which games the community would like to see for Linux, they have opened a section of their forums for fans to leave feedback on.
