Hot on the heels of Ubisoft delaying several games – Gods & Monsters, Watch Dogs: Legion, and Rainbow Six: Quarantine – the publisher has announced they’re adding PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett versions for each game.
The games will be shipping for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett alongside the previously confirmed Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch versions – news confirmed via Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot in a company earnings call (via Game Informer).
“The five titles, yes, they will be on this generation and the next generation, and they will take full advantage all the new features that are coming with the machines, which are actually going to be extremely interesting for players,” Guillemot said. “You will be able to download new content a lot faster, players will experience better frame rates—there are lots of very good elements that will come with these new machines.”
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett are both launching sometime in holiday 2020.
