The next update for Coffee Stain Studios’ Goat Simulator has been announced, and it’s a very clear shot at Russia’s Vladimir Putin.
“We really wanted to piss Putin off, and if he ever plays the game, I hope he’ll see it,” a representative from Coffee Stain Studios said to Polygon. “We also wanted to make good use of the fact that we have hundreds of thousands of people playing our game that might usually not be interested in this kind of stuff, and reach them in a way they never expected.”
The 1.1 patch will reveal a new map for the game with a model called Put-In Hotel, a location that is generously decorated with Pride flags as a comment on Russia’s actual laws that have been eroding the civil rights of the gay and lesbian community within the country.
Goat Simulator launched for Windows PC back on April 1st.
