While Double Eleven is handling the publishing rights for Goat Simulator on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, the Playstation versions are coming with a curious new feature.
Dubbed the “GoatVR” experience, the fully self-contained virtual reality feature is coming with both versions, although it won’t require a dedicated HMD of any kind. According to Coffee Stain Studios, this will only simulate the experience of virtual reality on your screen.
“Although it’s not quite ready yet we felt it better to stay ahead of the crowd and let it out into the wild,” Coffee Stain said over on the PlayStation blog. “We still need to do that part where it connects to an actual headset but for now you can enjoy a simulated GoatVR experience without it.”
Goat Simulator is hitting PS3 and PS4 on August 11th.
