XSEED is typically the studio now associated with localizing the bulk of Falcom’s games, but a few years ago another localization studio decided to pick up a very obscure and risky investment – Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure.

Featured above, you can watch the game’s Steam Greenlight announcement trailer. That’s right, Gurumin is heading to Steam, but only if you are considerate enough to give it a chance, because most people didn’t on its first run here in the west.

The title game out on the Playstation Portable via studio Mastiff, and was unfortunately criminally underappreciated and overlooked, especially considering it came out later in the system’s lifecycle.

The game was originally a PC release (like most of Falcom’s older PSP titles), so bringing over the PC original in English just makes sense. In Gurumin you control Parin, a young girl equipped with a huge drill who must fight to save Monster Village.

Here’s the best part: if you vote yes and join the Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure group, you get the game completely FREE. Yes, for FREE – so this is literally a win/win situation.
