Gigantic: Rampage Edition shows off new Picaro Bay and Heaven’s Ward maps

Gigantic: Rampage Edition

Gearbox Publishing and developer Abstraction Games shared a new trailer for Gigantic: Rampage Edition showing off two new playable maps.

The new trailer shows off two new maps in their revival of the failed 2017 MOBA of the same name – Picaro Bay and Heaven’s Ward, each with their own distinct flavors and level makeup that will ensure distinct and unique gameplay experiences.

Picaro Bay is described as a breezy seaside map with both verticality and narrow alleyways – as well as a pirate ship perfect for setting up fast-paced duels and bouts.

Players will be able to traverse its three distinct areas: the two opposing camps on each side, the main battlefield in the center of town, and the aforementioned pirate ship where dead men tell no tales.

Heaven’s Ward is a heavily industrialized district that houses an old power plant, factories, and even warehouses – despite its name evoking a heavenly theme.

The district is actually a small part of the larger floating capital city of Sky City, so players have to watch their step and make sure to not fall to their death.

The map features a variety of vibrant and futuristic details, especially its jump pads that let you fly between its factories, warehouses, and more.

Unlike its original free-to-play release, Gigantic: Rampage Edition is being touted as a “premium and definitive” release of the 5-on-5 MOBA / shooter hybrid.

It’ll ship with full cross-platform play between PC and consoles, as well as plans for free post-launch downloadable content like new hero skins.

Here’s the new trailer showing off both new locales and their various creatures, doodads, and more:

Gigantic: Rampage Edition is launching on April 9th across Windows PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
