Get Hot and Bothered with this New Bayonetta 2 Trailer

So the Bayonetta 2 themed Nintendo Direct has come and gone, and with it a whole bunch of new information for the upcoming Wii U sequel.

First up, a new trailer was shown off for the game. Featured above, the roughly four minute long trailer showcases the regular amount of carnage and sexuality the titular heroine is known for.

Alongside the new trailer was the confirmation that all of the Nintendo themed costumes that are heading to the original Bayonetta are coming to the sequel as well.

As an extra layer of icing on top of the nostalgia laden pie from Platinum Games, a Fox McCloud outfit was revealed for Bayonetta as well:

Oh this one will make the furries lose their damn minds.

Nintendo also gave us the first details on the game’s “Tag Climax” online co-op mode. The multiplayer centric mode is where two players can fight cooperatively to earn Halos, the in game currency that can be used to unlock more skills for Bayonetta in single player.

There are a total of six stages for you to fight through, and you can even ramp up the difficulty for higher rewards. Alongside Bayonetta and Jeanne as playable characters is the newly confirmed Rodin, who is surely going to unleash his own level of pain.

Nintendo also confirmed three different retail versions of the game, exclusively for Europe:

  • First Print Edition – Bundles disc versions of Bayonetta 2 and the Wii U Bayonetta remake, plus The Art of Bayonetta 2 art book, in special 3D embossed leather-effect packaging that faithfully recreates The Hierarchy of Laguna, the book of angels that documents the angelic foes Bayonetta meets on her adventures, making this a striking edition for devotees of the Umbra Witch.
  • Special Edition – Bundles disc versions of Bayonetta 2 and Bayonetta together.
  • Solus Edition – Includes just Bayonetta 2.

Lastly, Nintendo confirmed that Bayonetta 2 is launching on the same day in both North America and in Europe – October 24th.
