In our previous report for Yager’s Dreadnought, we talked about how the game is any sci-fi/space sim fan’s dream come true.

Since then, we haven’t really seen that many thorough gameplay walkthroughs for the more action-oriented game, but now the developers have given us a gameplay walkthrough, complete with commentary. Featured above, you can press play to see an Archon dreadnought ship in action.

Dreadnought is currently in a pre-alpha build, and upon its final release, it will be entirely free to play. There are five different classes of ships that you can take command of, each of which sporting unique attributes.

You can even fully customize each ship with different weapon and abilities, tailoring them to your own playstyle. The video itself showcases a bout of team deathmatch where a clear emphasis is put onto the positioning of each ship.

The second half of the video also shows off a support ship, alongside a dreadnought class unit, both of which attest to the mantra that you have to still think critically and use different tactics for different scenarios in the game.

Dreadnought is coming to PC sometime next year.
