Sega has published the first developer diary for Yakuza 0, featuring a walkthrough of the 1988 versions of Kamurocho and Soutenbori.
Featured above, you can view the new gameplay, which is roughly 20 minutes long. To be clear, the actual gameplay doesn’t start until 4 minutes in, so make sure to skip to that point if you’re in a hurry. You’ll get to see a younger Kazuma Kiryua and even Goro Majima walk around the city streets.
The “World View Chapter” video is the first in a series of gameplay videos that Sega is going to release over the next 8 weeks. The guest featured in the walkthrough is the voice actor of Akira Nishikiyama, Kazuhiro Nakaya. It was pretty hilarious to see Nakaya get the fruit basket lined with money, and the proceed to fail at Space Harrier. It really feels like they’re playing the game in a bar that typically hosts real life Yakuza.
Yakuza 0 is set for a March 26th release in Japan across both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. In related news, Yakuza 5 was finally confirmed for a western release this past weekend.
