Summer Games Fest organizer and host Geoff Keighly has revealed the 2021 show will be shorter and more condensed.

While the official Summer Game Fest Twitter account merely announced New year. New colors.” along with their marginally new logo, Keighly has provided some more information when speaking to users on Twitter. The news came as Keighly discussed the recently leaked details on proposals for the digital-focused E3 2021; and that he would still not be involved with it, as with the twice cancelled E3 2020.

In the replies [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] Keighly replied to those who expressed criticism of the show in 2020. In summation, Keighly confirmed that the Summer Game Fest 2021 aims to be shorter and more condensed; less than one month in length.

He also notes that the prior year had been challenging thanks to COVID-19. Some may deem this ironic considering the show came about due to E3 2020 being cancelled due to COVID-19.

Summer Games Fest 2021 premieres Summer 2021. Details of what the event will entail has not been revealed at this time.
