Originally from Mondstadt, Thoma traveled to the island nation of Inazuma. There he became a retainer and close friend of Kamisato Ayaka. Officially, he is merely a servant and housekeeper for the Kamisato Clan, but in reality he is often sent to discretely handle delicate situations for Ayaka and the Yashiro Commission.
Thoma first appeared in version 2.0, and played a fairly large role in the Inazuma arc of the ongoing Archon Quests, Genshin Impact‘s main storyline. As a playable character, he will be a 4-star support-focused pyro polearm user, who can deal damage and generate shields to protect his allies.
Thoma can be acquired in the upcoming Hu Tao banner re-run, which will replace the current Farewell of Snezhnaya re-run banner featuring “Childe” Tartaglia. Thoma will later be added to the permanent character wish banner.
The Hu Tao re-run banner will be accompanied by a new Epitome Invocation weapon banner that adds a pair of new 4-star weapons: the Wavebreaker’s Fin polearm, and the Mouun’s Moon bow.
You can see Thoma in action in the new trailer below.
