MiHoYo have released a new gameplay trailer with an in-depth look at Genshin Impact‘s latest character, Hu Tao.
As recently reported, the mischievous Hu Tao is an energetic young prankster that is nevertheless a major figure within Liyue Harbor, as she is the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. She had previously been mentioned a few times in passing within the game’s lore.
She is a new 5-star Pyro Polearm character that is the focus of the current limited wish banner, Moment of Bloom. Some of Hu Tao’s passive talents include a chance to create an enhanced Suspicious version of dishes when she cooks, the ability to phase through some smaller enemies when she sprints, and increasing her party’s crit rate when she is swapped out.
Hu Tao’s Elemental Skill knocks back enemies and gives her a Pyro-infused damage buff at the expense of HP. While this buff is active, Hu Tao also gains increased interruption resistance, and her attacks apply the Blood Blossom effect, which causes Pyro damage at set intervals.
Her Elemental Burst deals AoE Pyro damage, and restores her health based on the number of enemies caught in the blast. The damage and healing of her Burst is increased if her health is below 50%.
