MiHoYo have released a new gameplay trailer for Yoimiya, the next character to be added to their gacha action-RPG, Genshin Impact.
As previously reported, Yoimiya is one of the many new characters being introduced to Genshin Impact as the storyline moves to Inazuma, the new region added in update 2.0.
The owner of the famed Naganohara Fireworks company; Yoimiya is well known across Inazuma for the spectacular pyrotechnic displays she creates for the nation’s many summer festivals. Yoimiya was recently introduced in a story questline released as part of the initial 2.0 launch.
Yoimiya is a 5-star Pyro bow character that fires flaming arrows, and can enhance her allies by making their attacks and abilities cause firework-infused explosions. Her Elemental Skill turns her arrows into Blazing Arrows, which deal increased Pyro damage.
Her Elemental Burst bombards an area with colorful rockets, dealing AoE Pyro damage and marking one of the enemies hit with the Aurous Blaze ability. When another member of your party damages an enemy marked by Aurous Blaze, it will cause a Pyro-infused explosion. Should the target die before the effect expires, it will be passed on to another nearby enemy.

A new Epitome Invocation weapon banner has also been launched alongside the Tapestry of Golden Flames character banner. The 5-star weapons showcased in this banner will be the new Thundering Pulse bow and the Skyward Blade sword.
The banner will also feature increased drop rates for the 4-star weapons Sacrificial Sword, Rainslasher claymore, Dragon’s Bane polearm, Sacrificial Fragments catalyst, and Favonius Warbow.
