Firstly, the game’s new mode “Escape” will challenge players to escape a hive with friends. Players can also create their own hives for their friends to fight out of.

In addition, a Character Pack DLC was announced. Anyone who buys any edition of Gears 5 or played the game via the Xbox Game Pass membership by September 16th will get The Terminator Dark Fate Character Pack. We do not know at this time if the Character Pack will be sold separately.

Finally, anyone who buys the recently announced Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can play the game “four days early” from release. That would put it at September 6th.

The world is crumbling. Humanity’s reliance on technology has become their downfall and enemies are uniting to wipe out all survivors. As Kait you must journey across the biggest, most beautiful Gears world to uncover the origins of the Locust, and fight with your squad to protect what’s left.
