Hololive Vtuber Gawr Gura has just come back from a weeks long hiatus and plans to return to streaming just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Back in late December, Gura announced that she would be taking an extended break for health related reasons.

Short breaks and hiatuses aren’t uncommon in the corporate Vtubing world, where streamer and idol culture intersect.

It’s always disappointing to fans when their favorite idol (or “Oshi”) takes a break, but it’s a bit different when hololive’s biggest streamer does.

At the time of writing, Gawr Gura has over 4.2 million subs.

Gura announced her return to streaming on her official Twitter page, as well as revealing that she was currently in Japan.

Fortunately, what was at first an indefinite hiatus became a short break of about a month and Gura is expected to be back within the next few weeks.
