• Gawr Gura from hololive announces 2024 birthday stream

    Gawr Gura, one of the most popular VTubers in hololive (and overall!) has announced her upcoming birthday stream for later this week on Thursday June 20.

    Gawr Gura was the sleeper hit from hololive’s first English generation holoMyth, until then hololive had only been expanding in Asian markets with hololive Indonesia (holoID) and the now defunct hololive China (holoCN).

    The success of Gawr Gura and her fellow genmates in holoEN paved the way for two further generations of hololive English VTubers; and helped expand the reach of hololive’s Japanese and Indonesian talents.

    Gura’s upcoming birthday stream titled “Shark City” seems to have a summer City Pop vibe with its logo.

    You can catch the stream live at 9pm EST on June 20.

    Gura is also representing hololive English in the upcoming hololive night at Dodgers Stadium, alongside Usada Pekora and Hoshimachi Suisei. You can learn more about the event here.
