Square Enix confirmed lots of things last night for the latest in their breadwinner RPG series, Final Fantasy XV, which is now set to release on September 30th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
However, something the publisher is probably waiting to announce in the future was leaked by retailer GameStop, in a takeover advertisement on their home page:
Yes, my crude Microsoft Paint skills highlight the advertisement the retailer lists for the game, which shows a PC version clear as day.
This further corroborates last night’s event, “Uncovered,” which had a Steam/PC release listed in its source code, as well as their earlier build of the game being fully playable on PC (as expected because games are predominantly built within PC architecture prior to being adapted to consoles).
Could this mean Final Fantasy XV will get a PC release in the future? Probably, considering Square Enix’s embrace of the Steam platform. We’ll keep you guys posted.
