Gamer thwarts school bombing in California

Tehama County Sheriff

A gamer from Tennessee thwarted a potential mass-casualty event in California, after the suspect began to discuss their plans to bomb their school in an online game.

Two juveniles were arrested in Tehama County California after sheriff’s deputies investigated and discovered evidence that the two juveniles were planning an attack on a massive scale.

According to Sheriff Kain, both individuals are being held on multiple charges including Criminal Threats, Possession of a Destructive Device, Manufacturing a Destructive Device, and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.

Sheriffs discovered several explosive devices and the individuals were allegedly planning on killing approximately a hundred individuals, in addition to one of the suspect’s parents who were allegedly going to be targeted before the event.

The students were reportedly targeting Evergreen Middle School in Tehama County.

Despite critics of violent media claiming that they contribute to violence in real life, we’ve seen recent examples of individuals being driven to protect their fellow man because of it. Last year a Taiwanese man stopped a knife attack claiming that it’s what Himmel the Hero (a character from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End) would have done.
