Game Pass Subscribers are Getting a Crunchyroll Trial

Not long after their initial tease that things are getting “a bit orange this week”, Microsoft has announced Game Pass subscribers are getting a Crunchyroll trial.

The news that Game Pass subscribers are getting a Crunchyroll trial means you’ll get a 75 day trial for Crunchyroll’s premium mega fan plan, which gets you access to their day one simulcasts, ad-fee streaming for normal premium, and offline viewing and access to up to four concurrent streams. Previously, a Crunchyroll sub also gave you a sub to Game Pass.

It’s worth pointing out that a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate gets you access to online multiplayer with Xbox Live Gold plus the Game Pass library – as well as other publisher services like EA Play and even other purely non-gaming services like Disney+ and Spotify.

To celebrate the news, Microsoft and Crunchyroll prepped up a goofy AMV (anime music video for you zoomers that were born after the 90s) featuring the likes of Master Chief, characters from One Piece, Dragon Ball, and various other games that are available on Xbox.

In case you missed it, the latest additions to Xbox Game Pass include titles like It Takes TwoGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Age of Empires IV, and more. Read more about that here in our previous report.
