Game Frame Brings Pixel Art to Life

Are you an older video game fan, or are you just a fan of pixel art? The indie development community is thriving with games that feature pixel art, and whether you like it or not, we’re basically in a new era of both appreciation of the style and adoption of it in modern games.

Now we have an opportunity to bring pixel art to life, thanks to an enthusiast who took his idea to kickstarter. Jeremy Williams created the original Game Frame prototype last year, and after he showed it publicly, the reaction was so positive that he decided to crowdfund the device, to bring it to the mass market.

Check out their kickstarter pitch below:

Game Frame is a grid of 256 brightly lit LED pixels that shine down deeply defined channels that help bolden the pixels, making them stand out more and retain the look they would have if they were in game. The coolest thing about Game Frame is that you can preload in pixel art and have it loop, play as a still, or even play a game within the frame itself!

The campaign has already reached its funding goal, but if you want to back this awesome kickstarter, head on over to their kickstarter page.
