Inti Creates and publisher PQube have announced the western release window for Gal Gun: Double Peace.
The game will launch for both PS Vita and PlayStation 4 sometime this summer in both North America and Europe. PQube also revealed the Gal Gun: Double Peace “Mr Happiness” Edition of their upcoming voyeuristic simulator.
The new edition will be exclusive to Rice Digital, and comes with a myriad of your expected things like an art booklet, the soundtrack, and … a “Mr Happiness Screen Cleaner,” which is actually a screen cleaner in the shape of panties.
The Gal Gun: Double Peace Special “Mr. Happiness” Edition includes:
- The Gal*Gun Double Peace Limited Edition
- Premium quality art book
- 4 DLC costumes that are EXCLUSIVE to the Limited Edition of the game
- Cunning Kunoichi
- Wedding Dress
- Sexy Ribbons
- Sakurazaki Squad 777
- Exclusive Shinobu and Maya wall scroll
- Official Gal*Gun Double Peace soundtrack
- Supreme, ULTRA-RARE, extra-soft Mr. Happiness “Screen Cleaner” – gently wipe down your dirty screens for MAXIMUM visibility!
Rice Digital is a UK-based retailer, however they will be selling both EU and ESRB versions of this game or bundle.

March 24, 2016 at 2:11 pmRice Digital have been pretty great when it comes to limited editions of niche Japanese games. I reserved my copy of Gal Gun. Hopefully the DLC issues are not present in this version of the game.

March 24, 2016 at 2:21 pmI will never forget Shuffle’s final volume actually putting a pair in the box. Probably because why else would you buy shuffle DVDs?

March 24, 2016 at 2:22 pmI would really need to reevaluate my life choices if I found myself cleaning my screen with a pair of panties. Ah who’s kidding who, I love it ?

March 24, 2016 at 2:22 pmOh wow if the UK version is this well put together, I can’t wait to see what the US one has! Probably less, definitely won’t come with panties.

March 24, 2016 at 2:22 pmThe lack of details on the difference between their PEGI-rated UK edition and the ESRB-rated US edition is concerning. Would like to pick up Vita & PS4 special editions, both, but only if there will be no differences, and they haven’t detailed any… And they charge at the time of pre-ordering, so it’s a fairly significant concern if it turns out later that the ESRB/US version is censored in some way..
SpecialK
March 24, 2016 at 2:23 pmWhich version did you pick up? UK or US? They don’t seem to detail the differences… Given that the PS4/Vita are region free, you going for the UK version in case the ESRB-rated US version has censorship?
SpecialK
March 24, 2016 at 2:24 pmThey’re actually carrying both versions, and they’re identical, apparently. Which begs the question of what in-game differences are there, they haven’t elaborated.
Mr0303
March 24, 2016 at 2:27 pmI got the UK version since I live in the UK. My guess is that they are selling both editions for the future DLC compatibility.
As far as I can tell PQube is publishing both versions, so chances are that they are the same.

March 24, 2016 at 2:30 pmWell they have stated the following so I suggest everyone take them to task if its not true
“Gal Gun: Double Peace will come to PlayStation 4 and PS Vita via publisher PQube in North America and Europe in 2016, the company announced.
According to PQube’s public relations manager, the game will be “completely intact from the Japanese version” with “no censoring.”

March 24, 2016 at 2:38 pmHmm so no sale through Amazon like they did last time with Steins;Gate, that or there Rice Digital numbers were better, more than likely they don’t want too much exposure.
SpecialK
March 24, 2016 at 2:41 pmYep. More likely the latter. Keep it to Rice Digital, and it doesn’t make Kotaku smear-headline news, is my suspicion.

March 24, 2016 at 3:01 pmNice.Just checked pricing and it seems fair for the content of the limited edition and it’s great that the shipping is free;take note NISA and co.
Also i would never have guessed that i would one day clean my screen with a pantsu.^^

March 24, 2016 at 3:47 pm95 bucks is a bit steep. Shame it includes DLC that is exclusive to the LE. I hate that shit.
DizzyGear
March 24, 2016 at 3:50 pmTheir legit. I ordered the Steins;Gate LE from them and it even came in a costum made shipping box. The downside is that they use GLS for shipping.

March 24, 2016 at 3:52 pmWell good to know since I’ve never heard of them before.

I wonder why.

March 24, 2016 at 4:44 pmI’d assume there are no differences, games just have to be rated by both age rating organizations to be sold in both areas officially.
So far pqube has been very trustworthy from what I can tell, they brought us europeans a retail version of Senran Kagura Burst, using this cover art

March 24, 2016 at 6:04 pmThe only difference is in the ratings. One is PEGI and the other is ESRB.

March 24, 2016 at 6:07 pmWell, after the Hulk vs Gawker verdict, by the time this game comes out, there probably won’t even be a Kotaku anymore.

March 25, 2016 at 11:21 pmYou bought it for both platforms?
My hats off to you, sir. I only bought the Vita version physically, and shall get the PS4 version digitally at a later time. Because fuck discs lol.
Tjoeb123
March 25, 2016 at 11:23 pmThis is particularly important if you’re buying the Vita version since Sony has made it difficult to switch accounts without risking data loss. (BTW, GalGun says no to PSTV.)
Didney Worl
March 26, 2016 at 1:20 amSure, I could’ve just bought one special edition and the other standard, but If my support means more games like this will be made and localized, then I don’t mind spending the extra cash. Only downside is that I won’t be able to buy Doom and Dark Souls III day one. Oh well.

March 27, 2016 at 12:46 pmI almost want to support this SE as a reward for the sheer ballsiness of including that screen cleaner. Too bad it’s a hundred bucks on webstore.

March 28, 2016 at 11:05 amThere probably won’t be a Kotaku to review it, Gawker (Kotaku parent company) is in deep shit because of Hulk Hoogan.
So many cancerous sites with 1 strike. GG Hoohan.

March 29, 2016 at 3:39 amIt’s a really weird time in gamin’. There’s hardcore deviant SEs for games like this and yet there’s devs gleefully altering/destroying content to please people who had no interest in their software in the first place.
