Gaijinworks: We Don’t Have Any Nintendo Publishing Agreements

Gaijinworks has been on a roll with localizing very niche games to various Sony platforms, but what about the possibility of seeing their games on Nintendo or Microsoft consoles?

If you own a Wii U or a Nintendo 3DS, you might not be seeing one of their localizations anytime soon, if the words of Gaijinworks boss Victor Ireland are anything to go by.

“We don’t have any Nintendo publishing agreements,” wrote Ireland on his Twitter. While the reasoning behind his message aren’t known, it’s safe to assume that he’s probably getting pinged a lot to either bring their localizations to other platforms, or to localize overlooked games on Nintendo consoles.

Gaijinworks is currently working on bringing Summon Night 5 and Class of Heroes 3 west on the Playstation Portable, and by proxy, the Playstation Vita. If fans show enough interest in a physical release for Summon Night 5, the publisher will actually press those physical UMD releases, alongside a digital code for each purchaser.

Finally, the publisher made a note in saying if the aforementioned releases do well enough, they’ll have enough money in the bank to look into other games to localize, and maybe even releases on the PC (presumably via Steam).

We’ll keep you guys posted.
