The newly formed Italian-based Mixed Bag Games has been very actively recently, tweeting about its ambitious update to its successful game, Futuridium: Extended Play Delux. Futuridum is an on-rails space combat game on par with retro games such as Star Fox from 1993.
It’s main inspiration is a Commodore 64 game called , Uridium from Andrew Braybook. As you are a combat pilot lost in space, you enter a deep section of the cosmos, destroying various enemies and battleships in an old-fashioned polygonal form filled with color and a squeaky clean sense of polish.
The game runs fluidly at 60 Frames Per Second, allowing for intense, fast-speed action and edgy space-combat. The game is is being expanded upon for release on the PlayStation for and PlayStation Vita. The expansion features everything that would underscore the word, “Deluxe!” More enemies, more levels, full trophy support, a huge overhaul in presentation, and many new features!
A few days ago, Mixed Bag Game Studios tweeted this on their twitter profile.

The game is expected to arrive sometime in 2014. With this information, release shouldn’t be very long now. It will arrive on the Wii U with the PS4 and PS Vita versions more than likely supporting the cross-buy feature.
If this game intrigues you already, users can already play the first version of the game on the PC/Mac through the Dasura Store or Mac App Store. Also, if you own an iOS device such as the iPhone or iPod Touch, the game is available for $1.99 through the app store. As you wait for release, don’t forget to do a barrel roll.
