The Game Bakers announced Furi is coming to PS5 alongside a newly revealed update and DLC.
While Furi is coming to PS5, the game is getting all-new “Onnamusha” downloadable content, as well as a free update for the PC, Switch, and PS4 versions of the game – all launching on May 17th.
If you own Furi on PS4 you’ll get a free upgrade to the PS5 version entirely free, otherwise the Onnamusha DLC costs $6.99.
“We read all the messages from Furi players and this one really stuck with us: “I wish I could forget Furi to discover it all over again”. This is how we got the idea of the Onnamusha fighter that brings a completely different playstyle with a layer of tactics.”
Here’s some new trailers for the new DLC and update:
Here’s a synopsis of the new content:
The DLC lets you play as Onnamusha Rider, a powerful fighter that alternates between two stances: fast and agile or slower but lethal until she’s able to unleash the devastating power of the Star. The new gameplay mechanics bring new challenges, for a complete rediscovery of the game.
With Onnamusha Rider, the game can be played again in Story, Speedrun and Practice modes. The studio will also publish a free update to the base game on all platforms, that includes all paid and free content available for Furi: One More Fight DLC and all the improvements made since the release (Invincible Mode, Furier Speedrun, Alternate controls…).
Furi has been available for PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One. In case you missed it, you can find our review for the game here.
