I really love games that place you into the shoes, well, in this case hooves of something other than a bald/shaven 20’s something white guy. If you read my review of SteamWorld Dig: A Fistful of Dirt, you also know my love for digging stuff up, especially in video games.
Full Bore is one of those games, but it’s so much more than that. The current release is actually the first in a series, titled Full Bore: The First Dig. Developed by a team of a few indies from Northern California, kickstarter funded, and is currently available.
You can check out a trailer for the game below:
The game is an open world exploration/puzzle experience of sorts. You’re rewarded by thinking more critically and approaching every situation differently, as you could easily be thrown for a loop thinking an area is the same as one you’ve seen before.
Instead of unlocking new abilities, you have to master new types of blocks, which in turn will let you explore more, and possibly find new secrets to uncover. Not everything is as it seems, the more you explore, the more of Boarkind’s dark past you’ll uncover.
The awesome part? You can buy the game right now for any price you want (minimum is $0.25 though), via Indie Games Stand. If you buy the first chapter, you get the second one free, once it’s released.
