Following the news that the Department of Justice was set to kick off an anti-trust probe into Google, another antitrust investigation is coming for Facebook.

The new report (via the WSJ) claims the Federal Trade Commission has secured the authority to launch the follow-up probe into the social media giant.

The arrangement, per WSJ sources, claims the DOJ will oversee the probe into Google while the FTC is handling the probe into Facebook.

It’s worth pointing out the FTC will also be launching an antitrust probe into Amazon. Both the DOJ and the FTC can enforce antitrust laws, however they make decisions on who will oversee which investigation.
