FromSoftware’s new unannounced game in final development stages, new Miyazaki game also in development

FromSoftware

A new interview with FromSoftware boss Hidetaka Miyazaki reveals the company’s next unannounced game is nearly done, alongside Miyazaki’s next game starting development.

Here’s the word from Miyazaki and the interview from 4gamer.net regarding FromSoftware’s upcoming titles:

4Gamer: At the time of the interview for SEKIRO in 2018, you mentioned that you had 3.5 lines of development running within the company at that time, two of which were not yet announced. One of the unannounced lines was ELDEN RING; is the other one still under development?

Miyazaki: Yes. Yes, it is in the final stages of development. We are in the final stages of development.

4Gamer: Please tell us about your goals as a director. Now that you have completed the culmination of ELDEN RING, is there anything you would like to do in the future or anything you are interested in?

Miyazaki: I am already working on my next title as a director. As a director, I am already working on the next title, so I will not spoil it for you… In the medium to long term, I would like to work on a fantasy that is more abstract than past works.

4Gamer: Lastly, I would like to ask, now that ELDEN RING has come to an end, what is your future plan for the development of new titles?

Miyazaki: First of all, I would like to ask about the upsides of ELDEN RING. First of all, we will continue to update ELDEN RING in the future. Also, as I have mentioned, in addition to the titles that I myself am directing, we are also developing several titles by directors other than myself, but I am not at a stage where I can talk about them in detail yet. I am sorry, but I would appreciate it if you could give me a little more time.

Lastly, FromSoftware announced they have a new website focused on recruiting new staff for all of these exciting new FromSoftware projects – you can find that here.
