At this year’s Anime Expo in Los Angeles, the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime confirmed a premiere window for its anime’s second season.
The Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime season 2 will premiere sometime in January of next year, exclusively via Crunchyroll outside of Japan. The second season of the fan-favorite anime will be simulcast alongside its Japanese schedule.
A new trailer for the anime’s second season was revealed, which confirmed a new director for the new season – Tomoya Kitagawa, who worked on storyboards and directed multiple episodes in the first season. Original season director Keiichiro Saito will be overseeing as supervising director.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is based on the popular, ongoing manga of the same name by Kanehito Yamada with illustrations by Tsukasa Abe. The anime adaptation is produced by MADHOUSE, the folks known for Yu Yu Hakusho, Trigun, Death Note, and many other iconic series and feature films.
