We’ve learned Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime season 2 has been announced by the production team and animation studio MADHOUSE.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime season 2 was announced during the anime adaptation’s 1 year anniversary event today in Japan. A release window wasn’t announced.

Further details are scant, though we know main characters Frieren, Fern, and Stark are naturally returning. A new visual for season 2 and new artwork were also released:

The popular anime was produced by MADHOUSE and is based on the also-popular manga of the same name by Kanehito Yamada with illustrations by Tsukasa Abe. By June 2024, the manga had over 22 million copies in circulation and has been given numerous awards in Japan.
