In an interview with Weekly Famitsu, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata revealed some new details about the game’s first free downloadable content, titled the Holiday Pack.

While Season Pass holders will get some extra content, everyone who owns the game will get a New Game + mode, along with options to limit the level of the party.

Also announced were plans to release the special demo the developers made for the game’s Japanese launch, known as the Mystery Disc. Created as a thank you to the fans, the demo includes references to Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV, the Platinum Demo, and a boss fight with Square Enix’s CEO Yosuke Matsuda.

Despite the fact the Mystery Disc currently doesn’t have a release date, the Holiday Pack is planned for release this month. Since its launch last Tuesday, Final Fantasy XV has become the fastest selling game in the franchise, and so far seems to be one of the most hyped games of the year.

Our thorough written / video review for Final Fantasy XV is forthcoming. For now, you can get our first impressions with an hour of footage here.
