Sandbox online war game Foxhole finally hits full release in September

Foxhole

Siege Camp have announced that their massive sandbox multiplayer war game Foxhole will finally be leaving early access soon.

Foxhole first entered Early Access for Windows PC via Steam way back in 2017, and will finally be getting a full release on September 28th.

Foxhole is a unique strategic wargame where thousands of players fight a persistent war loosely inspired by WWII. While most players will spend their time on the frontlines storming trenches, driving tanks, and shelling defensive lines with artillery, other players will be supporting the war effort by transporting supplies, building bases, and manufacturing weapons.

Foxhole‘s 1.0 update will coincide with Inferno, the largest single update the game has ever received. The namesake of the Inferno update is the addition of fire-based weapons like flamethrowers, and long-range artillery platforms. That isn’t all however, as the update also dramatically expands Foxhole‘s logistical side.

Logistics players can build sprawling industrial districts to churn out massive quantities of tanks and small arms, and can design their own intricate railway systems to ship supplies to the front lines. These trains can also be used as mobile fire platforms by mounting long range gun platforms on them.

You can find a breakdown of many of the new features in the trailer below.

You can find a rundown (via Steam) below:

Foxhole is a massively multiplayer game where thousands of players shape the outcome of a persistent online war that lasts for weeks. Players ARE the content in this sandbox war game. Every individual soldier is a player that contributes to the war effort through logistics, base building, reconnaissance, combat, and more.
