Square Enix has announced a new expansion for their MMORPG Dragon Quest X.
The fourth expansion, titled 5,000 Year’s Journey to a Faraway Home Online, is coming to the game on November 16th across PC, PlayStation 4, Wii U, and the Nintendo Switch. Featured above, you can view the expansion’s debut trailer.
A price is set for 3,800 yen. Pre-orders are now available on the Square Enix e-Store. If you bought the game’s “All-in-One Package” before, you’ll get a 500 yen discount on the fourth expansion.

August 6, 2017 at 12:22 amIt’s actually only the third expansion, I think. It’s Version 4 because the vanilla game was Version 1.
My disappointment that we’ll never get this game comes and goes. Right now it hurts pretty bad.

August 6, 2017 at 2:07 pmSince I don’t speak moon rune, are the three 3DS games in the middle remakes of Dragon Quest 1-3? If so, I really can’t understand why the fuck they don’t bring them West since 1) those games have already been translated for the NES and it would be very quick to translate them and 2) literally every other mainline Dragon Quest game is on DS / 3DS.

August 6, 2017 at 4:41 pmYeah, I knew about the Wii anniversary edition. I can’t believe that they would refuse to release that in the US when it was already translated! It just bugs me that I have all of the main Dragon Quest games except for those three….I guess I could always import it and then find an English ROM to emulate.

TheOnceAndFutureKing
August 6, 2017 at 11:56 pmits even more annoying considering that they already had Dragon Quests 1-6 on Wii VC in Japan. We didn’t even at least get the NES version of 1-3, which are already translated officially.
