Four “Episode” DLC Packs Confirmed for Final Fantasy XV, Will Release Into 2019

We previously reported that Final Fantasy XV is going to get three more post-launch DLC expansions. Now, we’ve learned Square Enix is planning four expansions, and they’re going to run even further than we thought.

Game director Hajime Tabata confirmed (4Gamer.net and Famitsu) that the game will get at least four more “Episode” expansions, starting with the previously confirmed Episode Ardyn. Tabata also teased they might do an episode for Luna.

Because Square Enix is working to get higher user satisfaction with the content, they’re ensuring each pack has more development time. Coming from this, Tabata is expecting the release schedule to run into 2019.

Final Fantasy XV is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In case you missed it, you should check out our written and video review for the game here. The game’s PC version will launch on March 6th, the same launch date as the Royal Edition.
