New Forza Horizon 5 update adds PVP progression and custom races

Forza Horizon 5 update adds PVP progression

Publisher Microsoft and developer Playground Games confirmed a new Forza Horizon 5 update adds PVP progression and more this month.

Here’s the main additions of the update:

  • Horizon Open has been updated with a new progression system including Badges which can be unlocked through gameplay
  • Added Custom Racing to Horizon Open, which will allow players to find races for their chosen race discipline and PI class
  • Fixed some scenarios where the player could be left waiting longer than necessary in the post-race flow

The new Forza Horizon 5 update adds PVP progression is arriving in he coming week, on March 29th, and while the big focus is on the new PVP progression system, there’s a bunch of other improvements and new content as well.

All of the new changes and content are coming as part of Forza Horizon 5’s Series 6 season, with lots of new cosmetics and cars, two new EventLab Events every week, and even new collectible paint barrels and mini t-rex dinosaurs scattered all around the map.

Series 6 also brings with it an all-new Horizon Story focusing on the “infamous” Drift Club, which has multiple chapters throughout its open world map. This gets unlocked after playing through the Series 6 Festival Playlist, and includes lots of drifting-focused locales based on infamous real-life drifting videos.

Lastly, new player rewards in the update include things like the “one-off prototype” 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400, more cosmetics like car horns, icons, and more.
