Fortnite adds Piccolo and Gohan, but not in their latest forms

Fortnite has been playing around with anime crossovers  Naruto, Boku no Hero Academia and Dragon Ball-themed skins.

Dragon Ball skins got added to the game back in August of 2022 in two different packs, the first having Goku and Bills, and the second adding Vegeta and Bulma.

The skins even got their own event, where the Kamehameha was added to the game, which Fortnite players seemed to both love and despise, depending on what end of the blast they were.

The Goku and Vegeta skins are pretty good representations of what the characters are, despite not being a complete adaptation of the character’s many forms.

The skins were so successful and well-received that a second pack was bound to come, and the timing couldn’t be better, considering the recent Dragon Ball: Super Hero movie.

Both Gohan and Piccolo have been added to the game, alongside themed backpacks, pickaxes and emotes, however something was missing.

Gohan has his Ultimate and Super Saiyan forms, but doesn’t have his latest power-up, meanwhile Piccolo does have his Potential Unleashed form, in which his skin is a lighter shade of green, and his bulkier transformation is still missing.

Piccolo’s Orange Form and Gohan’s Beast transformation have been added so far only through sprays:

The description for the skin pack reads:

Just as you’ve been powering yourself up with Reality Augments in Battle Royale, power yourself up with the return of Fortnite x Dragon Ball. In the v23.30 update, Son Gohan and Piccolo from the Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO movie make their Fortnite debut, the Kamehameha attack item and Nimbus Cloud (Kintoun) mobility item are out of the vault, and Dragon Ball Adventure Island is back!

Fans of Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, the mobile game, also had the same frustrating experience, in which Gohan got added to the game, but his Beast form is only part of an active skill.

Piccolo does seem to be able to transform into his Orange form and stay that way, but his base form seems to be the Potential Unleashed one as well.

Epic hasn’t made any announcement or teaser pertaining to any of the character’s latest transformations, but fans are hopeful that the forms will be added in the future or unlocked through quests.

Gohan and Piccolo are available on two different packs for 2200 Vbucks each.

Fortnite is available on macOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One Xbox Series X/S, iOS, Android and Microsoft Windows (through the Epic Games Store).
