Forspoken Gets Extended Cut Title Announcement Trailer

Publisher Square Enix and developer Luminous Productions have shared an extended cut of the official title reveal trailer for Forspoken, their new action RPG.

The new extended cut trailer shows off more of the new action RPG, formerly known as Project Athia, which is coming to Windows PC and PlayStation 5.

While the extended cut of the trailer shows off more gameplay not show in the original re-reveal trailer, a full gameplay reveal trailer is set for sometime later this year.

Here’s the new extended cut trailer:

Here’s a brief rundown on the game:

Introducing Forspoken, the new narrative-driven adventure set in a beautiful yet cruel world. Play as Frey Holland, an ordinary young woman who must harness her magical abilities to survive in the fantastical yet dangerous land of Athia. Developed by Luminous Productions for the PlayStation®5 system and PC, Forspoken will take players on a magical and perilous journey.

Originally revealed as PROJECT ATHIA last year, Forspoken puts players in the shoes of Frey Holland, an ordinary young woman who must harness her magical abilities to survive in a fantastical and dangerous land called Athia.

Frey takes center stage in Forspoken, exploring an unknown world and facing treacherous trials to unravel the mystery behind Athia. SQUARE ENIX also teased new Forspoken gameplay to give players a glimpse at the magical and perilous journey ahead.

Designed for the PlayStation 5 console (PS5), Forspoken will harness the full power of the console and demonstrate Luminous Productions’ philosophy to provide a gaming experience like never before, fusing together the latest technology with creativity. The game is being developed simultaneously for the PS5 and PC and is set for release in 2022.

Forspoken is set for a 2022 release across Windows PC and PlayStation 5.
