• Formula Fusion is a Brand New Racer from Ex-Wipeout Devs

    R8Games is a new British studio founded by ex-Studio Liverpool developers who are mostly known for the Wipeout series, and they’re working on .. a spiritual successor of sorts to Wipeout!

    Featured above, you can view a pre-alpha gameplay trailer for the game, dubbed simply Formula Fusion. The game is described as something akin to F1 meets Wipeout, and it’s coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

    “We have a few interesting spins on the core concept and we are pulling it back a little in terms of the Sci-fi ness of the art. To try and make it more RAW and Craft based – similar to the tech/teams in F1 – rather than loosing it’s charm by dressing it up with generic far future style,” said R8Games.

    A final note, the trailer still displays the games original name, Slamjet Racing – it has since then been rebranded as Formula Fusion.
