Web3 developer Pixelcraft Studios have announced former game director for Gwent and the upcoming Witcher 4, Jason Slama, has joined their company as game director.

He will be overseeing their project, Gotchi Guardians, in this new role.

Previously Slama was best known for his work as game director for the card game spin off of The Witcher, Gwent. He was also announced as the game director for the upcoming Witcher 4 last year in March. However his LinkedIn states he left CDPR in September.

Pixelcraft Studios is primarily a web3 development studio who are the creators of the NFT gaming protocol Aavegotchi. Which is an open source protocol revolving around blockchain technology for gaming purposes, something many major game publishers are attempting to create as well.

Not much is known about Gotchi Guardians, the game in which Slama will begin work with the company. The only details about it currently are that it’s a survival game with tower defense elements. It’s also expected to release sometime later this year.
