John Vignocchi has confirmed that he has left Gearbox and is now working at Nintendo of America.
Vignocchi confirmed the news via a series of tweets:

His other tweets confirmed he would be taking up the role of “developer and publisher relations” for Nintendo of America. Despite only being at Gearbox Publishing as an Executive Producer on an unnamed new franchise for less than a year, Vignocchi spoke highly of his time there.
Vignocchi began his career at Midway games on the NBA Ballers franchise as an Assistant Producer in the early 2000s, moving up the ranks until 2008.
After a brief stint at Vogster Entertainment as a Senior Producer and Business Development Manager, he would go on to join Disney Interactive in 2009 where he would eventually become the Executive Producer on Disney Infinity. He was laid off in 2016 along with other Disney Interactive staff when the studio was shut down. He rejoined the game’s industry in 2018 with Gearbox Interactive.
