Far From Home has announced Forever Skies is finally set to launch this year as a “console debut exclusive” on PS5, alongside its PC release.
Forever Skies is hitting full release on PC as a PS5 “console debut exclusive”, via an official partnership with PlayStation. The new partnership is providing the game support and funding so it hits full release on PC and PS5 simultaneously.
Forever Skies was previously launched in early access on Windows PC (via Steam) back in June 2023. The game has an Xbox Series X|S version planned, not mentioned today, but will likely come later after the lauch exclusivity runs out on PS5.
Here’s a new trailer for the PS5 release:
“Far From Home has teamed up with PlayStation to focus on making Forever Skies the best it can be for its console debut,” Forever Skies Gameplay Lead Andrzej Blumenfeld said. “So, at the end of PC Early Access when we’re ready to release the full game, we’ll be launching it on PlayStation 5 for consoles. Worry not though, this will not affect the ongoing development or release of the Steam version which will come out at the same time.”
A new patch for the PC version was also just released, adding more than 45 quality-of-life improvements, while the next major content update is coming sometime in March / April of this year, adding the next story chapter, complex airship gardening systems, new locations, and new equipment.
