Not intending to have the past catch up to them, Sony PlayStation is already starting 2015 on a good note. PlayStation announced their holiday “Thank You” plan today, which will be in the works in the coming weeks.

The statement acknowledges the events of December the 25th. The paralyzing network issues that plagued the Playstation Network left many players upset and frustrated, especially for the newest owners of a PlayStation 4 console and PlayStation Vita, both of which were heavily marketed during the busy Holiday shopping season. The post details a five day extension of PlayStation Plus, Sony’s premium membership service that allows for free games, discounts, demos, and more. For anyone that activated their membership or free trial, the extension will be applied. In addition, for all PlayStation users, a special sale will happen sometime this month.

“In addition, sometime this month we will announce that for a limited time, we will be offering a 10 percent discount code good for a one-time discount off a total cart purchase in the PlayStation Store as a thank you to all PSN members.”

It may not seem like much but it is a nice token of appreciation, especially for all the various digital-only games available on the PlayStation Store. It’s also worth noting that the FLASH sale has been extended and PS Plus’s free games offerings for the month of January are awesome, including inFAMOUS: Second Son’s standalone expansion, First Light.
